The Toolbox
Whether we realize it or not, each one of us has an invisible toolbox that carries the tools we need to: raise our children, manage a successful classroom, be a good spouse, deal with stress, stay motivated, and the list goes on. 

We gather the tools that we use from our own experiences in life and most importantly from the adults who raised us. It is important to understand that we can only use the tools we have in our toolbox.

Unfortunately for many of us, we weren't given the right tools or the tools we have are not effective in raising children in today's world. It's not our fault. We have to accept the fact that those who gave us the tools we now carry were only able to give us what they had. As a result many of us struggle with our own understanding of what it means to be a good parent, teacher, spouse, and giver of tools.
